The mission of the School of Liberal Arts at Tulane University is to promote and support significant research, innovative scholarship, and creative expression in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. By offering a rich array of undergraduate and graduate programs, the School of Liberal Arts seeks to provide a diverse and engaged student body with an outstanding education founded on close working relationships between students and distinguished faculty. Our academic disciplines, programs, and centers strive to cultivate skills in research and analysis, critical thinking, and visual literacy, as well as encourage a commitment to service to the city of New Orleans and the global community.
