0630011924amAllison Mull has worked as an electronic publishing specialist at the University of  Chicago Press in addition to working as a writer, copyeditor and editorial designer - paginator at a number of media outlets in the Southeast and in Chicago. She also worked at the New Orleans-based Advertising and Graphic Design firm PR Graphics before joining the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies as administrative secretary in 2003.

She has a strong background in communications and in HTML coding, is proficient in office management and has great organizational skills.  In her free time, she enjoys listening to Blues and other roots music, learning about other cultures and traditions, and indulging in good conversation. Allison is also a member of the New Orleans Haiku Society (NOHS) and has written hundreds of haikus and attended two haiku conferences. She attends and participates in Sunday poetry readings at the Maple Leaf as well, and she continues to be active in freelance writing and editing efforts.
