New Orleans - Evening with the President

Alumni, parents and friends are gathering in New Orleans to honor Scott Cowen's 16 years of leadership and service to Tulane.  Proceeds will support the newly created Cowen Scholarship Fund at Tulane.

Cowen Scholarship Fund

Scholarships are crucial to helping Tulane attract and maintain the brightest and best students. As the cost of providing a world-class education continues to rise, and as federal dollars shrink, scholarship support has become more vital than ever. Your gift to the Cowen Scholarship Fund will help provide need- and merit-based scholarships for undergraduate students, fund fellowship support for graduate students, attract a diverse student body, increase student retention, and provide opportunities for top-tier students to attend Tulane.

For sixteen years, Scott Cowen has served as the 14th president of Tulane University, with his lovely wife Marjorie at his side every step of the way. Each week brings yet another honor to Scott for his tremendous achievements at the helm of Tulane, but it is not the prestigious accolades and awards that mean the most to Scott and Margie. Rather, it is the fond memories of Tulane and New Orleans that will stay with them forever.

We hope that you will join in celebration of this remarkable couple by participating in this virtual tribute book that will be comprised of messages from around the globe. The virtual tribute book will reside on the Tulane website and a bound version will be presented to the Cowens this summer. Individuals, businesses and groups (students, alumni, families, organizations and more) are encouraged to participate in this unique opportunity to recognize the Cowens and contribute to the Cowen Scholarship Fund.  Click here to purchase a tribute book ad.
