Premium Online Services

Tulane Career Center has researched and invested in a number of premium online services to assist students with their job search. These on-line services are available to Tulane University students and may not be accessed by non-Tulane University students. Please let us know if you find these services beneficial by sending us an email at csc@tulane.edu, or to suggest other services.

WaveLink

The Tulane Career Center's WaveLink is a premium service designed to bring Tulane job seekers and prospective employers together. Students and alumni can upload résumés, search for jobs, apply for positions and use the calendar to view upcoming application deadlines and special events.

Tulane WaveLink features are:

  1. Browse jobs and internships specifically targeted to Tulane Students and Alumni
  2. Search the online directory of employers hiring Tulanians
  3. Participate in on-campus interviews
  4. Publish your résumé online for employers to view
  5. Use the calendar to view upcoming application deadlines and special events
  6. Take advantage of the career Resource Library

Students and alumni can publish their résumés on WaveLink so that partner employers can search the database for qualified Tulane candidates. Employers can also request that the Tulane Career Center forward résumés of qualified applicants. There is no cost for Tulane students and alumni to subscribe to WaveLink and it's one of the nine steps recommended by the Tulane Career Center for a successful job search.

With the sophisticated OptimalResume Builder™ you can build and manage 5 separate résumés which can all be accessed by links, as in a personal résumé website, or in the standard Microsoft Word® Document. The Flash version of the résumé can be embedded with "infobytes" or small pop-ups of background information that might be useful to the reader.

Since the résumés are online, changes made to them take place immediately so this is an advantage over the typical emailed attachment or hard copy.

OptimalResume.com is fast, easy and FREE to all Tulane Students!

In the past...
Career centers across the country provided paper-based systems for student files. These systems had severe limitations because of the time and labor involved with efficiently sending these files to employers and graduate schools.

Now...
Emerging technology and the recent flooding encouraged Tulane Career Center to seek out the best possible partner to provide an expanded online version of this service for our students.

Benefits of Interfolio include:

  • File distribution requests can be accepted online. No more paperwork, typed sticky labels, or waiting for a mailed distribution request form to arrive.
  • Payment can be made by credit card (American Express, MasterCard, or Visa are accepted.)
  • Fast processing of requests. Mailings are guaranteed to go out within one business day. Priority requests made before 2 pm will be sent the same business day.
