Let’s be Clear:
Tulane will be 100% Tobacco Free

Tobacco is an important issue for ALL college students whether or not they smoke or use chew/spit tobacco. About one-third of college students smoke, and many others are affected by second and third-hand smoke because they might live with someone who smokes, work in a smoke-filled environment or socialize in establishments that permit smoking.  Tobacco impacts students' health, energy levels and finances. However, students might be unaware of all the effects tobacco has on their lives or the supports available to help them quit.

As part of our continued commitment to enhancing the quality of life and the environment on campus, the Uptown Campus has 20 smoking areas in accordance with our Tulane Smoking Policy.

Take Action!

You can help us achieve our mission. If you continuously observe a specific location--not stipulated as a designated area- -where tobacco users congregate, please fill out a "Tobacco Complaint Form." You can choose to report the incident anonymously. With your help, we can promptly resolve the issue.

Please see our campus map and smoking policy for additional details.
