Karma Ashton RN is the Nurse Coordinator  in the Downtown Student Health Center. A native of Utah, she has been living in New Orleans since 1992.  She received her diploma from Los Angeles County/USC School of Nursing and worked as an RN at Tulane Medical Center for 18 years. Besides primary care, Karma has special interests in health education and is working toward receiving her Travel Health Consultant certificate.

Karen Porche is the receptionist at the Downtown Student Health Center. She has over 20 years experience in medical administration. She completed her training as a licensed Medical Office Assistant at the Healthcare Training Institute in Gulfport Mississippi. She has been with Tulane since 2006. Karen has special interest in guiding students with prompt appointments to ensure quality of care.

 Vicki Stein is the Program/Insurance Coordinator for the Downtown Student Health Center. She attended UNO and Tulane University. She has been employed by Tulane University at the Uptown & Downtown campuses for over 10 years. She is the patient advocate regarding Student Health Insurance disputes, questions or concerns.

Sydney Tran is a certified Medical Assistant, a licensed massage therapist and phlebotomist at the Downtown Student Health Center. She has been employed by the Downtown Student Health Center since 2005. Prior to working for the DSHC, she was employed at the Tulane Hospital and Clinic for 13 years. She graduated from Phillips Jr. College in 1992 with her Medical Assistant Certification and from Blue Cliff College in 2004 in massage therapy.

Valencia-sm

 Victoria H. Valencia, MD, is board-certified in Family Medicine and has been practicing student health at Tulane since 2006. Originally from Colombia, South America, she completed her medical degree at La Universidad del Valle in Cali, and her residency training at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center/Cornell University in New York City. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the department of Family and Community Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine. Her special interests include: International medicine, women's health issues, contraceptive counseling, and many family-medicine related issues.
