Important Information For Guests

The Unified Commencement Ceremony begins at 9 a.m. and doors open at 7:30 a.m.

Guest Entrance: Guests should proceed up the ramp at Poydras St., Gate A entrance or up the stairs from the parking garage to the exterior plaza entrance and enter through Gate C. Seating is available on the Plaza level, with additional seating on the Club and Terrace levels.

Guests with physical challenges should enter the Superdome through gate A (Poydras St.) on the ground level. This entrance is a covered drop-off area for disabled access. Wheelchairs will be available for transportation to and from handicapped seating; however, for those who wish to have a wheelchair with them at all times, it will be necessary to bring one with you.

Tickets: Tickets are required for all guests. Graduates are allotted 16 tickets each, one of which the graduate will need to use to enter the Superdome.

Free shuttles: If you plan to depart from the uptown campus, free shuttle buses will run from the uptown campus to the Superdome. A continuous loop will also run from the Superdome to the Convention Center for the law and medical school ceremonies. Handicapped-accessible shuttle service will be available. Parking: Parking is available for $10 (cash only). Garage attendants will punch parking tickets upon entry. If you plan to leave the Superdome after the Unified Commencement Ceremony and return for the Newcomb-Tulane College Diploma Ceremony, you must present the punched parking ticket upon reentry.

Directions: Customize and print directions to the Superdome.

Security Checks: There will be bag checks and metal detectors at all entrances of the Superdome. Please allow additional time to pass through security.

Refreshments: Refreshments will be available for purchase on the Plaza level of the Superdome.
