Master of Social Work/Master of Public Health Dual Degree Information
Students pursuing a dual Master of Social Work/Master of Public Health degree can only be enrolled in one school per semester. So, students beginning this program would enroll in the School of Social Work first, and then, after completing the second year of Social Work, your registration would then need to be switched to the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine.
The full time Social Work program is four (4) semesters; fall, spring, summer and fall. Students graduate from the School of Social Work in the fall and then have to complete an Interdivisional Transfer Form to change their school of enrollment from Social Work to the School of Public Health. Once this transfer is complete, then the Tulane University Health Science University Financial Aid Office can award aid for the spring semester.
Now that the School of Social work has moved from the "uptown" main campus to the "downtown" health sciences campus, the Health Sciences Financial Aid Office handles all aid for all Social Work students.
