Cost of Attendance for the 2011-2012 Academic Year

The most significant cost associated with your education is tuition and fees; however, you should also consider the various other expenses you will incur. Cost of Attendance (COA) is a financial aid term that refers to all of the expected allowable expenses for the period of your enrollment. The costs shown below represent moderate, but reasonable living expenses for the New Orleans area. These costs are adjusted annually to reflect the rate of inflation and are consistent with federal guidelines. Local transportation, normal automobile maintenance expenses and parking are included, but an allowance for car payments is not.

The following is a sample COA for a student enrolled in 30credit hours during the 2011-2012 academic year (based on an average enrollment of 15 credit hours in fall and spring). This budget allows for 9 months of living expenses.
