Have you ever thought about international service after graduation?  Interested in Tulane's Peace Corps Prep program.  Join us for an evening discussion about the Peace Corps and one alum's experience serving in Mexico.

Elias Garcia is currently serving as a Peace Corps volunteer is central Mexico. He works with the local government and a state delegation of a federal government agency called SEMARNAT (the equivalent of the EPA in Mexico) to design and implement environmental education and waste management programs in a variety of schools, ranging from preschools to high schools. His primary projects include developing a recycling program for plastic bottles, creating and facilitating youth environmental groups in high schools, developing and monitoring school gardens, and offering English language classes to school staff so that their schools may become bilingual certified. Elias graduated from Tulane University in December 2016 with a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Political Science, with minors in Latin American Studies and Gender & Sexuality Studies.
