This will be a panel of attorneys who work in a variety of legal environments. The panel is geared primarily towards 1Ls who aren’t sure what kind of law they’d like to pursue. We are inviting panelists from large law firms, small or midsize firms, public interest work, government, and in-house counsel. This panel is beneficial because it will help students learn more about potential careers that they could explore. Our entire exec board has expressed that they wished they had more information regarding different career options earlier in their law school career. We also want the event to serve as a casual (not forced) opportunity for networking and career advice. This is why we would like to bring professionals from out-of-state; we hope to appeal to students beyond those who wish to stay in New Orleans.
