Anne Boyer’s poetry books include The Romance of Happy WorkersMy Common Heart, and the 2016 CLMP award-winning Garments Against Women.  Her newest book is a collection of essays and fables called A Handbook of Disappointed Fate, and a memoir, The Undying, is forthcoming from FSG in 2019.  Boyer is the winner of the 2018 Cy Twombly Award for Poetry from the Foundation for Contemporary Art and a 2018 Whiting Award in nonfiction and poetry. She is an Associate Professor at the Kansas City Art Institute and the Judith E. Wilson Poetry fellow at Cambridge University for 2018-2019.

 

Florie Gale Arons graduated from Newcomb College in 1950. Her daughters established the poetry program in 1999 in honor of her 70thbirthday. It continues today in her memory. Mrs.’ Arons posthumously published collection, Unspoken Words, is available at the Newcomb College Institute, the Tulane Bookstore, and independent bookstores.
