Join Brad Romig's TIDES class on October 21st to visit Studio Be. Studio BE is a 35,000 sq ft warehouse in the bywater neighborhood of New Orleans created by visual artist Brandan “Bmike” Odums. To find out more about the studio's art, please click here.

Live Well: Narco Knowledge

Location: Uptown Campus

A 50 minute presentation about illegal drugs, misuse of Rx drugs, and mixing alcohol and drugs. Discussion points include alcohol and drugs; harmful combinations; non-medical use of prescriptions.

Live Well: The Buzz

Originally developed in 2010 at the University of Arizona’s Campus Health Services, “The Buzz” is an alcohol education presentation that uses interactive activities and myth busting facts to facilitate a conversation about alcohol use on college campuses.  This presentation involves trivia and a wide variety of games to provide useful information about alcohol in a playful and relaxed manner.

Boo at the Zoo Volunteering

Location: Uptown Campus

Boo at the Zoo is an "annual Audubon Zoo extravaganza is a safe, fun-filled Halloween event for children up to age 12, featuring trick-or-treat houses with candy, Ghost Train (which can be scary for children and adults), a haunted house (scary and non-scary), games, entertainment and more. All games and treats, except concessions, are free with admission." Proceeds go to Audubon Zoo and Children's Hospital. Volunteers help at all of the booths within the event, with specific tasks designated by those running the event at Audubon.

Produce Marketing Association Service Event

New Orleans Convention Center


Volunteers will help walk the Convention Center and box up all of the items available for donation. This event will ensure that hundreds of thousands of pounds of produce go to individuals in need across our community instead of being thrown away.
