WaveMail Upgrade May 25 7pm

Beginning on the evening of Friday, May 25, WaveMail will be upgraded to provide: 

HIPAA Compliance.  The upgrade will mean the system is HIPAA-compliant.  This will enable everyone who has not yet migrated to WaveMail to be able to use the service.

Larger mailbox. All WaveMail customers will be upgraded to a 25 GB mailbox (up from 10 GB).

Larger Attachments. All WaveMail customers can now send attachments up to 25 MB (up from 10MB).

Increased Daily Recipient Limit:  All WaveMail customers daily recipient  limit is increased from 500 to 1500.

Enhanced Calendar and Contacts Sharing. Once everyone is migrated to WaveMail, customers will be able to share contacts and calendars with anyone with a Tulane.edu email address.

Improved emergency email services. Once everyone is migrated to WaveMail, Tulane email users will be able to access WaveMail even if an evacuation is required in an emergency.

The upgrade will take place over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.  To accomplish this, WaveMail will be unavailable from 7:00pm Friday May 25, to 7am Saturday May 26.

No email messages will be lost, and new email messages will be delivered upon the completion of the transition.  The transition will not affect connectivity for users on the OnPremise Webmail system.

Upon completion of the transition, your email client will automatically reconnect to the new WaveMail mailbox.  The Outlook Web Interface, https://outlook.com will feature a new login screen but will still be accessible with the same user name and password.
