Join the AmeriCorps Summer Service program at Tulane
What is WaveCorps?
WaveCorps is a new summer service program offered by the Center for Public Service and funded in part by the Corporation for National and Community Service and AmeriCorps*VISTA. Volunteers participating in WaveCorps support organizations in New Orleans that are preventing summer learning loss in K-12 students through entertaining camps that bridge the time between the school year.
In addition to the great work you'll do with children in the New Orleans area, participants will receive a living stipend of $1750 , an end of service education grant of $1000, as well as training and professional development from Tulane.
The program runs during June and July each summer, including training and orientation sessions. If students would like to add a public service internship to their WaveCorps experience, they need to complete additional hours of service at the end of the program as well as take part in a weekly seminar at Tulane. Please inquire for further information and registration details regarding the internship option.
Applications for the Tulane WaveCorps program will be available during the spring 2015 semester
Program Dates: June & July 2015
