Students who have completed service-learning experiences at other universities can have them reviewed to determine whether they fulfill the Tulane public service graduation requirement. These experiences may include internships, research projects, or traditional service-learning courses.
In order for your experience to be considered, your service-learning program must have offered academic credit for the service experience. Community service hours alone will not be accepted.
Petitions should only be submitted after academic credits have been posted to students’ transcripts. Students should then submit the Petition for Transfer Public Service Credit Form and send all relevant documentation, including syllabi, to Myriam Huet.
Petitions will be reviewed each Fall and Spring semester by a committee of faculty members. All petitions received between May and August will be held until the CPS Petitions Committee meeting in September. Please contact Dr. Myriam Huet with any questions.
