Lindsey Curewitz is a senior from outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is studying political science, french, and economics. She is a very active student leader on campus. She is a Resident Advisor, a Pre-Hearing Administrator with Student Conduct, a member of the Community Service Scholar Program, and a member of the Red Cross Club. She is also involved with the Swim for Success program, teaching local kids how to swim. As the 2012-2013 Scholar Coordinator, Lindsey acts as a mentor for the freshman class of scholars and she is also responsible for coordination and support of the 43 scholars involved in the Community Service Scholars Program.
Mwende Katwiwa is a senior at Tulane University double majoring in Political Economy with International Perspectives and Africa & African Diaspora Studies. In addition to being a Heim Fellow, Katwiwa was formerly a Public Service Fellow for the Center for Public Service and currently sits on the C.P.S. Student Advisory Board. On campus, Katwiwa is a Resident Advisor, Chair of the Black Arts Festival, a Producer for the Vagina Monologues, and Service Chair for Tulane's Mortar Board National College Senior Honor Society chapter. Off campus, she is a blogher with Winnovating and the Anna Julia Cooper Project on Gender, Race and Politics in the South, as well as a Spoken Word Artist.
