Student nominations may originate from a student, faculty or staff, or community site supervisor. This award is only open to graduating seniors (or students would graduate in December) who have completed a minimum of 75 hours of public service throughout their undergraduate studies. Finalists will be asked to provide documentation of completed hours.
Nominators should complete the Runsdorf Award RFP and submit a letter of nomination indicating the student's demonstrated commitment to public service. Nominators should also inform students of their nomination and include a copy of the student's resume documenting all public service experience during their undergraduate studies. This resume should also contain the student's current contact information. Nominated students should also complete a one page personal statement (no more than 500 words. The statement should reflect on the student's service work during college and the impact its has had on their future. Students and nominators can also include supporting materials (maximum of 3 pages) which can include past awards or acknowledgments, etc. The student award nomination form along with supporting materials should be completed and faxed to (504) 862-8061, attention Student Leadership and Development or mailed to:

The Runsdorf Award Selection Committee will be comprised of staff from the Center for Public Service and Student Affairs, Tulane faculty, and community representatives. The top 3 finalists will be interviewed, and one student will be chosen.
All award applications will also be considered for the Top 25 Public Service Student Award. Students do not need to submit separate award applications.
Nominations are due by April 3rd, 2013.
