Public Service Internship Program - Overview

Internships are, by far, the best way for students to gain the necessary skills needed to perform successfully in today's competitive, professional environments. Long gone are the days when a degree in hand was all that was needed to land a great job after graduation. These days, employers are looking for experienced personnel. The Tulane Center for Public Service Internship Program provides students with this competitive advantage by offering them the opportunity to build upon their skills and abilities through intensive community-based work.

Program benefits:

  • Work with a community organization of your choice (including but not limited to CPS 400+ local partners!)
  • Gain professional experience
  • Earn up to 3 credit hours at the 4000 level in your major/minor
  • Fulfill the 2nd tier public service graduation requirement
  • Opt for a summer public service internship anywhere in the U.S. and abroad
  • Make a lasting impact in your community!

Program entrance requirements:

  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior status
  • Must have completed the 1st tier of Tulane’s Public Service Graduation Requirement
  • 3.0 GPA (2.7 GPA’s will be considered with a letter of recommendation from a faculty)
