This paid-student position would be knowledgeable of the Center for Public Service’s academic and non-academic programs, student service organizations and events, as well as other university resources that support service. In turn, this student would help advise their peers on which service-learning courses to take, how they can build on previous service experience to obtain an internship, which student organization or service events may align with their interests, how they can find activities to complete service hours, etc.
The Bruce J. Heim Foundation Student Service Fellow would meet with individual students to find out about their academic and service interests, prior service experiences, current service commitments, and future career plans. Then, the Bruce J. Heim Foundation Student Service Fellow and student would develop the student’s individual service plan including service-learning courses, internship and research opportunities, student organizations events, and community opportunities.
