It is easy, rewarding, and FUN to become involved in events through the Community Service Programs Office, service oriented student organizations, and community agencies! Students plan and lead events, coordinate service projects, and provide orientation sessions and project training for volunteers.
Whether you are an individual, student group, chapter organization, a residence hall group, or one who volunteers every once in a while- there are community service opportunities available to meet your interests and availability!
1. Organizations and Projects. Look through the different descriptions of organizations & projects available to all Tulane students and contact the appropriate project coordinator to find out how you can volunteer. If you wish to create a new partnership with an agency that Community Service programs have not worked with in the past, the community agency will need to sign a Memorandum of Understanding. This document outlines activities that student may perform during their service experience and details the community partners responsibilities. This form must be signed before students can begin their volunteer service. For more information, please contact Avery Brewton at abrewton@tulane.edu.
2. Liability Release Form. All Tulane students participating in a volunteer activity must complete a Student Liability Release Form prior to participation. The form needs to be filled out only once a year.Download the Student Liability Release Form and submit it to your project coordinator or to the Community ServicePrograms Office(G11E), which is located in the Student Organizations Center (G11) in the Lavin Bernick Center.
3. Keep In Touch. There is always so much activity happening on campus and around the city.
