
Children and Schools
Children and Schools projects allow volunteers work with different projects that offer mentorship, one-on-one homework assistance, play sports, make arts and crafts, teach life skills, tell stories, and lead educational games at a variety of local afterschool programs.
Time Commitment: 1-4 hours a week
Adults in Need
Adult in Need programs promote respect, understanding, and friendship by serving the elderly, homeless, and people with intellectual disabilities. Volunteers work with different projects that offer mentorship, one-on-one language assistance, play sports, make arts and crafts, teach life skills, prepare and serve meals at assisted living facilities and shelters.
Time Commitment: 1-4 hours a week
Rebuilding New Orleans
Volunteers work on rebuilding family homes, neighborhood clean ups, debris removal and yard clean ups with different projects like Habitat for Humanity.
Time Commitment: 3-6 hours a week
Activism and Philanthropy
Volunteers work with different projects coordinating fundraising events, awareness campaigns, guest speakers, workshops, and blood drives. Students have the opportunity to be engaged in a campus and community network that work to organize and address a range of economic, political and social justice issues.
Time Commitment: 1-4 hours a week
Environment and Animals
Environmental and Animal organizations provide programs that help the environment and protect wildlife. These organizations also contribute to the understanding and appreciation of problems associated with sustainable development, climate protection, and the preservation of natural resources and wildlife by providing forums for learning and discussion.
Time Commitment: 1-4 hours a week
Fellowship & Service
Fellowship and Service organizations base their values of leadership, fellowship, and service in community service. These organizations are membership based with particular requirements for GPA, number of service hours, and dues.
Time Commitment: 1-4 hours a week
