Jena Hellman LeBlang graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Management from the A.B. Freeman School of Business. She went on to graduate from The George Washington University Law School.
While at Tulane, Mrs. LeBlang dedicated much of her time to helping others. She was a recipient of the Dean’s Honors Scholarship, participated in the CACTUS organization, as well as The Book Giving Tree, and was inducted into the prestigious 1834 Society. Mrs. LeBlang tragically passed away in 2011, but her family and friends have come together to keep her spirit alive through The Jena Ashley Smiles 929 Foundation and through this Fund.
The Board of Directors of the Foundation, which include Mrs. LeBlang’s parents, Mark and Mindy Hellman, her husband Jay LeBlang, and close friends hope that this Fund will inspire and encourage students to follow in Mrs. LeBlang’s path by bringing smiles to the faces of those who need it. These students, like Mrs. LeBlang, have dedicated their time to enhancing the quality of life of those around them through volunteering, organizing, donating and, above all, caring. Mrs. LeBlang may no longer be with us, but her spirit of selflessness and generosity lives on in the Foundation, the Fund, and the many individuals who believe that everyone needs a smile.
