Descriptions: The intern will assist Freret Neighborhood Center staff and Freret neighborhood residents with crafting a short video about the Center that can be used for fundraising, volunteer recruitment, and general information sharing.
A few duties of the intern will be:
- Interviewing Center staff, Center participants, neighborhood residents, and other relevant individuals to gather stories about the history of the Center and Freret/Milan neighborhoods.
- Crafting an outline for the video.
- Collecting footage and photographs of the neighborhood, residents, and Center programs for video.
- Creating an online feature about the Center.
- Assisting with developing new flyers for outreach about programs.
- Helping to craft a communication/public relations plan.
Product of Partnership: A video about the Center, flyers, photographs, and public relations campaign.
This service activity is availble for .
Students will need to check out university equipment for filming. They will also need to utilize Howard-Tilton's editing computers in order to create the video.
