One-to-One Tutor, adults

Final Product Special Instructions:Students will be assisting YMCA staff in providing instruction in basic math, reading, and language skills for adult who function at or below the 9th grade level.

Requirements

Background Checks is Required. All volunteers with the YMCA are required to undergo a standard criminal background check.
The CP requests emergency contact information.Emergency information will be used only a medical emergency affecting the student occurs.
Evaluations/surveys will be requested by community partner to be completed by students.
The YMCA will ask students to evaluate their experiences at the end of their service period. The information will be used to make improvements for the next group of student participants.
Students are not allowed to take pictures or video.

Availability

Location and Travel

Students will work at the YMCA Learning Center at the Main Branch of the Public Library (217 Loyola Avenue across from Tulane Medical Center).

Supervision and Risk

Check-in at the site: Students will check in on a sign-in sheet provided at the site.
Students track their hours at site: Hours are tracked on the sign-on sheet which are verified and signed by the on-site supervisor.
