Descriptions: Student(s) will assist Program Services Coordinator in planning, developing, coordinating and implementing educational programs and services for 50 high school students and performing other related duties assigned.
Product of Partnership: Student(s) will develop a new program and/or curriculum to be implemented by the Upward Bound Program possibly Summer or Fall 2009.
Final Product Special Instructions:Some qualifications: Public speaking, Organization of data and materials, Time management, Professionalism, Spanish is beneficial but not required. Time commitment is primarily in the evenings after 5pm. Classes are 7-9pm. Students will gain experience working with immigrant population and managing a classroom of 10-15 adults.

Specific Policies: There is a confidentiality agreement and boundaries of behavior policy that the student will receive during their training.
At the agency located in the Treme at 1313 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, LA 70116. We are between Claiborne and Rampart in a yellow house.
Check-in at the site: There is a volunteer board with sign-in and the evening activities. They will then check in with the instructor for the class they are teaching.
Students track their hours at site: Through a personal sign in sheet kept onsite on the volunteer board.
Students will work unsupervised:It is possible that the student would be asked to do 1-on-1 tutoring with a client.
