Descriptions: The Community Engagement Researcher will be responsible for researching all homeless outreach efforts, community events, volunteer opportunities, and other happenings in the Greater New Orleans area. Interns will create and maintain an online database of all events, and as a final project, interns will create a community event calendar for N.O. Street Exchange vendors to help vendors grow their micro-businesses. All research findings will be published via print and online media, and will be used to support homeless individuals and local area non-profits.

Final Product Special Instructions:? Conduct internet research on local homeless outreach events, non-profit volunteer opportunities, and community service projects
? Perform outreach (in person, by phone, and email) with GNO non-profits organizations
? Create and maintain online database of all findings
? Compile a list of all major recurring events and happenings in New Orleans using already established community events calendars
? Design and create a print event calendar for NSX vendors
? Collaborate with the Social Media Manager and Blog Editor to post findings online
? Participate in weekly digital planning and operations meetings
