Final Product Special Instructions:The Scott S. Cowen Institute for Public Education Initiatives seeks to do primary research on the issues affecting the school system(s) in New Orleans and to provide answers about what is working and what is not. An important part of this process is the background research that goes into each one of the research projects that we take on. This involves conducting literature reviews of past research, writing case studies, and searching for best practices across the nation.

Requirements

Background Checks is Required. NOPD
Evaluations/surveys will be requested by community partner to be completed by students.
Possibly at the end;to evaluate the experience.
Students are not allowed to take pictures or video.

Availability

Location and Travel

On-site and with external professionals and entities as appropriate.

Supervision and Risk

Check-in at the site: Meet appropriate research, program, or administrative staff.
Students track their hours at site: Can be provided with a timesheet.
Students will work unsupervised:Possibly, students may eb required to interface with individuals by themselves when conducting research.
