Descriptions: The LAGC Public Relations Intern would support develop the organization?s community outreach and organization branding. Intern will promote LAGC?s presence with community outreach by networking at community events/meetings, developing and streamlining participant recruitment methods and partnerships, creating press releases, and researching potential community events for outreach. Intern will be encouraged to take initiative and adjust tasks as needed.
Product of Partnership: The culminating project can shift to suit the intern?s interests but could be developing recruitment plan, creating an event calendar, or making a community resource binder.

Evaluations/surveys will be requested by community partner to be completed by students.
At the end of service, students may be asked to complete a survey evaluating the experience. Comments will be used to improve the position in the future.
Students allowed to take pictures or video.
Specific Policies: Participants are low-income and otherwise disadvantaged youth ages 18-21. Intern must be comfortable working with this population.
On-site at Mid-city office.

Check-in at the site: Student will check in with supervisor when arriving at office.
Students track their hours at site: Student will be responsible for tracking their own hours through a spreadsheet.
Students will work unsupervised:Intern will be responsible for developing LAGC's presence in the community so position will require that intern attend community meetings and meet partners.
