Product of Partnership: Events.
Final Product Special Instructions:Intern will work with LLHC board to plan 3 events as a local hub of the AIDS 2012 Conference and assist with planning NLAAD (National Latino AIDS Awareness Day) events, teaching HIV/AIDS education in Spanish to community groups. Intern will work under direction of board members, but will lead efforts in planning the AIDS 2012 hub events (helping secure panel speakers, selecting conference presentations, co-sponsors, create flyers/invites, etc.). The AIDS hub events will take place one per month throughout the fall and target different audiences and topics (TBD but possibly related to advocacy, health providers or med students, program managers/case workers). NLAAD events in mid-October will target the Latino community with fun group activities and education. Intern may also be asked to assist other projects (analyzing data from patient surveys, community outreach, or other projects as they arise). The intern?s ideas, input, and creativity are very welcome in the planning process.
