Descriptions: A Youth Run NOLA intern is someone who arrives with an enthusiasm for youth development and health and wellness. No prior experience as a runner is necessary, but this role specifically calls for a person who is open to a variety of responsibilities, receives and implements critical feedback, communicates effectively and offers innovate and creative solutions.
There are plenty of opportunities for the intern to take on special projects such as planning an event or coordinating a fundraising effort. The intern is also encouraged to attend practice on a semi-regular basis.
Internship Purpose:
1. To assist Youth Run NOLA leadership in developing a program aligned to the mission and vision
2. To manage action items within a range of Youth Run NOLA needs including: communications, evaluation, development, and program.
3. To develop intern professional skills and expose them to the growth of a youth development program
Product of Partnership: The intern will be asked to present a strategic plan before the Executive Committee. This presentation will include the past accomplishments and tactical vision for increasing the capacity of Youth Run NOLA.
