Descriptions: This intern will work directly with the youth center participants, under the supervision of the Program Director and Executive Director, to facilitate pro-social behavior, reinforcing both verbal an non-verbal positive and reconciling communication skills. Skill development will take place in context, working directly with youth in conflict resolution skills, de-escalation and behavior self-assessment techniques. Intern will also implement and direct a college-bound interest group, facilitating college and financial aid research and application skills.
Product of Partnership: Produce, test and implement a program model for high-school students that will enhance their skills in researching college opportunities and enable them to use best practices when applying for college admission and financial aid.
