Final Product Special Instructions:Grow Dat is seeking volunteers to assist the Farm Manager in the development of the Grow Dat Youth Farm site in City Park. We seek someone who is interested in advancing their skills and knowledge in the areas of sustainable agriculture, ecology, and farm data collection. The position requires interest and willingness to work outside, participating in a variety of farm work tasks such as field preparation, shovel work, seeding, weeding and planting. Developing a system for farm data collection/documentation will be another key component of the internship, which could represent an end-of-semester final deliverable/project. Additionally, the candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a strong capacity to work as a part of a team (including volunteers). Previous experience as an educator, gardener or work with teenagers is a plus.

Students will be asked to bring: reusable water bottles, closed toed shoes, sun screen, and a hat with a bib. These items are to protect the volunteers while working out in the sun.

Check-in at the site: Students will check in with Jabari Brown Volunteer Coordinator or Leo Gorman Farm Manager once at the site to receive directions and carry out tasks.
Students track their hours at site: Hours will recording via Grow Dat's volunteer sign in sheet.
