Curriculum Design Intern

Basic Information

Descriptions: The intern(s)will assist PYD staff, under the direction of the Director of Professional Development with researching, writing, editing,piloting,evaluating and revising a series of curriculum components. These components with be used in the training of youth workers. The core of the curriculum will consist of activities and information about child development, positive youth development and personal attributes of youth workers. More specific components will focus on skills needed for areas such as youth sports coaching, artists working with youth, police and criminal justice personnel interacting with youth, classroom teachers and after school providers and faith-based groups.The intern(s)will have the opportunity to work individually and with groups of professionals in a collegiate atmosphere. Interns will also have the opportunity to attend pilot trainings of the curriculum and provide feedback.
