Early Steps to School Success Intern

Basic Information

Contact: Angela Lorenzi
Descriptions: Assist the New Orleans field office to manage and implement its early childhood programs serving children in the Gulf Coast area. Specific tasks may include the following: Assist with research and planning for future programs. Assist with enhancing and creating needed resources and curriculum to support programs. Accompany staff on site visits to assess programs. Support training initiatives for rural school system staff. Communicate grant information to partners. Assist in data collection and overall sub-grant program oversight. Administrative and other tasks as assigned. Internship will begin January, 2012 consisting of 4-12 hours/week and end April, 2012. Scheduling consideration will be given around academic calendar. This internship will be based in New Orleans, LA, though may include some local travel with staff. This internship is unpaid.
Product of Partnership: The ESSS Internship deliverable is flexible and determined upon hire of intern and intern's academic focus and requirement.
