Descriptions: Save Our Cemeteries is looking for an intern or longer-term volunteer to perform architectural research on historic cemetery properties. Research tasks will include identifying tomb ownership & burial information, and preparing data for publication (ideally, in the form of a brochure, video or audio self-guided cemetery tour of your topic of interest).

Possible topics of interest include Civil War burials, musicians, famous (or infamous) New Orleanians, politicians or culinary stars buried in local cemeteries.
The end result will be used to create self-guided cemetery tours, in a format that can be provided to adults (and possibly students) - audio, video, or print brochures.

Students will perform research at local archival institutions (HNOC, the US Mint, cemetery archives at the City or Archdiocese) and at the Save Our Cemeteries offices at 501 Basin Street. Cemetery visits are optional, but lots of fun.
