Descriptions: The journalism intern will be responsible for collecting and writing stories about New Orleans Outreach?s enrichment programs at Langston Hughes Academy. The intern will also be responsible for publishing various periodicals including a monthly newsletter. This position will allow an intern to grow in areas of communication, such as interviewing and writing pieces. The intern will have the opportunity to publish his or her work.

Background Checks is Required. Background check forms and processing will be provided by the agency.
Students allowed to take pictures or video.

Location and Travel

Students will work at Langston Hughes Academy (3519 Trafalager St. NOLA 70119).

Supervision and Risk

Check-in at the site: Students will need to check in with their site supervisor.
Students track their hours at site: Students will track their hours independently via timesheets.
