LHA Family Communications Intern

Descriptions: The family communications intern will aid New Orleans Outreach engage families at Langston Hughes Academy. In particular, intern will assist in the planning and implementation of family reading nights. Intern will also collaborate with the Outreach Program Manager to brainstorm and execute other methods of engaging family/community involvement. The intern will develop event planning and communication skills. The intern will also gain experience working with children and building meaningful relationships with their key stakeholders.

Location and Travel

Students will work at Langston Hughes Academy (3519 Trafalgar St. NOLA 70119).

Supervision and Risk

Check-in at the site: Students will need to check in with their site supervisor.
Students track their hours at site: Students will track their hours independently via timesheets.
