Descriptions: Our legal internship positions are typically focused on reviewing permit applications for wetlands fills and pollution discharges, and then drafting GRN's comments. These permits for new facilities and development are required under the Clean Water Act, and there is a public review process. We weigh in from the beginning on certain cases in order to influence the process and have standing in case a need for litigation arises.
Legal positions at the GRN may also include researching case law and drafting memos to provide background on a particular issue we're addressing, working with others to develop corporate accountability shareholder resolutions, making public comments at official hearings, and more.
