Descriptions: The clinical research intern will work closely with the clinical research coordinator at New Orleans EMS to document patient care research activities at the organization. Prior research experience is a plus.
Product of Partnership: Final research project
Final Product Special Instructions:Clinical research intern will conduct research activities and data entry into topics such as stroke, out of hospital cardiac arrest, incidence of mental health and emergency conditions surrounding those patients, or a number of subject areas of interest to the student. Project deliverables to be decided upon based upon student's interests and talents (research article, poster, etc.).

Background Checks is Required. Standard background check is required. It will be provided by New Orleans EMS at no charge to the student.
Certification is Required Not required, but certification as an EMT-Basic or above is preferred.
Other requirement: Prior research experience or in the field of public health is highly desirable.

Evaluations/surveys will be requested by community partner to be completed by students.
Evaluations will be requested so that we can better refine the program to meet not only our needs by those of the students.
Students are not allowed to take pictures or video.
