Administrative Internship Program

Descriptions: 1. Exposure to a complex world environment and a world-class organization 2. Involvement in work projects and administrative tasks that affect the organization 3. Communication with a dedicated mentor and/or Executive Director throughout the program 4. Participation in WACNO programs e.g. "Pub Night" and "Great Decisions" led by leaders from across the organization 5. Completion of performance evaluations for both the mentor/Executive Director and the intern 6. Opportunities to showcase experiences in an end-of-program presentation

Final Product Special Instructions:WACNO's internships provide participants with the opportunity to work at an internationally-focused local nonprofit. Under the tutelage of a dedicated mentor, interns are tasked with high-level responsibilities ranging from creating website content to fundraising to planning events.

Requirements

Evaluations/surveys will be requested by community partner to be completed by students.
The supervisor will request that the interns do surveys after the internships are completed in order to improve the program.
Students allowed to take pictures or video.

Location and Travel

Students will work onsite and offsite, depending upon the tasks they are performing.

Supervision and Risk

Check-in at the site: Students will meet with their supervisor.
Students track their hours at site: Students will track their hours on time sheets, which will be submitted to their supervisor.
Students will work unsupervised:Students, depending upon their skill level, may be given the chance to work with members unsupervised.
