Mission statements

Youth Rebuilding New Orleans is a small non-profit organization that was organized by youth, for youth, following Hurricane Katrina. Over time the organization has evolved, however our vision of helping rebuild the community has remained constant. Our mission is to reduce blight by rebuilding distressed and foreclosed homes in New Orleans with the help of youth volunteers, in order to reduce blight while teaching valuable leadership and occupational skills. The houses are then sold at 80% of market value to educators to further the improvement of the community.
