Community partnerships ensure that our students provide needed public service. In partnership with CPS, community members act as co-educators and foster some of the most powerful learning experiences for our students. CPS is committed to involving community members in activity identification, design and implementation.
CPS facilitates pre-semester and mid-semester gatherings to encourage planning and collaboration among faculty members, student leaders and other local organization representatives. CPS facilitates an end-of semester Showcase where partners are encouraged to conduct outreach and share products of the partnership. Throughout the semester we host workshops designed to assist with strengthening and improving public service activities.
Partners are encouraged to voice their training and support needs as related to their work with faculty members and students through the Center for Public Service.
