For the 2012-2013 academic year, the Corasaniti Study Abroad Grant will provide $2200 each toward the cost of a Newcomb-Tulane Study Abroad Program for three students majoring in political science, economics, political economy, or a modern foreign language. The grant will be awarded on the basis of both merit and financial need. Merit will be assessed on the basis of GPA, a faculty recommendation, and an essay written by the applicant. Financial need will be determined by the student’s status as reported by the Office of Financial Aid.

Applicants should write a two-page essay explaining their decision to study abroad in the 2013-2014 academic year, and what they hope to gain from the experience. Winners of the Corasaniti Study Abroad Grant may be required to speak about their experience as part of a panel discussion, roundtable, or informational luncheon upon their return.

Submit your application by 5:00 p.m. on the 15th of the month (or the last business day before the 15th) to receive a decision by the 30th of that month (September through April only).
