Your new Splash Card can feed you, buy your books, get you in the door and much more.

The Tulane Splash Card also comes with your newly issued Tulane identification number for every student, faculty, and staff member.  The new number reduces the opportunity for identity theft, unlike previously used social security numbers.

The Tulane Splash Card is dually embedded with ‘tap ‘n go’ microchip technology and a magnetic strip.  The card allows access to buildings, dining, library, computer labs, copiers and printers, as well as some off campus merchants.

Throughout the university, we are retrofitting card readers to accept this new technology. The process of converting and adding card readers on all campuses will continue for three to five years, creating access that is more convenient for you.

Convenient

With your Tulane Splash Card debit account, you have the convenience of paying for just about anything on campus with a tap or swipe of your ID card. No more worries about carrying cash, checks, credit cards or having exact change. Use your Tulane Splash Card to purchase books, school supplies, technology-related items, a croissant to go with that mid-morning iced mocha and much more.  You can use it for services such as laundry, vending machines, copiers and computer printing. The amount of your purchase is automatically deducted from your Tulane Splash Card account. The remaining balance is conveniently located on the vending machine or the bottom of your receipt.

Secure

Access your Splash Card debit account through your university photo ID card, reducing the risk of misuse by others. If you lose your Splash Card, deactivate the card through Gibson Online, or notify Card Services in Bruff Commoms immediately.  Purchase your replacement card at Card Services, in Bruff Commons.  There is a $30.00 replacement fee.   You will always feel secure knowing that you have the purchasing power of cash without the risk of losing it.

Students, check your balance, get a copy of your account activity, or report your card lost, log through Gibson Online and select the Splash Card icon.

Flexibility

Opening a Tulane Splash Card account is easy -- just make a deposit. You can make a deposit by visiting one of the automated deposit stations located in the Lavin-Bernick Center, Bruff Commons, Howard-Tilton Library, Willow Cyber Café, School of Architecture, Medical School Library, Law School or the School of Public Health. We also accept deposits in the office, or by mail with a check or money order made payable to Tulane University.  You can make your online deposits here with your Discover, American Express, or MasterCard.  There is a 3% convenience fee added to all online deposits.
