Come watch Alash, an ensemble is a trio of master throat singers (xöömeizhi) from Tuva, perform in the Dixon Recital Hall this March 7! Throat singing is the process of producing two or more pitches at once, an effect that is hauntingly beautiful and eerie at the same time. Accompanied by traditional instruments of Tuva, the trio will sing Tuvan folk songs and share fold stories from this region of the world nestled between Siberia and Mongolia. Free admission, but tickets are required. Limited seating available! In addition to the concert, Alash will be hosting a free masterclass before the show, open to the public from 11-12:15pm in the Dixon Recital Hall. No tickets necessary to attend this masterclass!
