Spring Theatre Auditions

All students are invited to audition for roles in the Spring semester of shows produced by the Department of Theatre and Dance

Date: Saturday, December 1, 2012
Time: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Building: McWilliams Hall, Lupin Theatre
Location: uptown campus

The Department of Theatre and Dance will hold auditions for the Spring shows, including a new musical, Yentl directed by Dmitry Troyanovsky and the romantic comedy, Almost Maine directed by Sara Valentine.

All Tulane students are invited and encouraged to audition. No experience is necessary.

Sign up for an audition time on the Theatre Callboard located on the first floor of McWilliams Hall.

What to prepare: Almost, Maine is a quirky romantic comedy with no singing roles. Yentl is a play with music, casting both singing and non-singing roles. To be considered for a singing role in Yentl, please prepare 16 bars of an uptempo, contemporary musical or cabaret song (in the spirit of Spring Awakening or Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson) For all non-singing roles, please prepare a one-minute monologue. If you wish to be considered for both singing and non-singing roles, please prepare both a monologue and a song.

Callbacks will be held on Sunday, December 2, times TBD.
