Visiting Chinese scholar Yuxing Liang will discuss Gaokoa, China's college entrance examination. Ms. Liang will explain how the Gaokoa system operates by analyzing its characteristics, discussing its pros and cons, and exploring its impact on access to higher education and contemporary Chinese society as a whole. Yuxing Liang holds a Master's degree in International Communications from Peking University and currently works for the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs in Beijing as Program Officer for the Department of North American and Oceania Affairs division.
