This panel brings together an economist and community leaders to discuss the impact living in poverty has on every aspect of a person’s life. These experts in the fields of literacy and at-risk youth will contextualize the economics of poverty and provide insight on what we can do to help combat this social challenge. Panelist include: Dr. Petrice Sams-Abiodun, Executive Director of the Lindy Boggs National Center for Community Literacy at Loyola University James Kelly, Executive Director of Covenant House Dr. Janet Johnson, Moderator Reception to follow.
