On Thursday, November 29, 2012, we invited Professor Zawacki for class visits to our “French Poetry in Translation” and “Translation Theory and Practice” courses, and for a public lecture and poetry reading.Andrew Zawacki is a poet, editor, literary translator, and the Director of the Creative Writing Program in the Department of English at the University of Georgia and editor of Verse magazine. His class visits and participation in our courses provided for a unique opportunity of engaged learning experience from which our students greatly benefited. His visit also gave Teresa the opportunity to create a podcast in cooperation with our guest, and to provide links to his webpage, giving both faculty and students the opportunity to learn about his work.
